When you think of Holland America you think of traditional old world charm. The ships are smaller than most cruise lines holding from 830 to up to 2000 passengers. They sail from 7 to 117 days and have 300 ports in 100 countries in all continents. All ships have been updated within the last 3 years so no one can say they are “old”. There are amazing high end food options, but not over whelming choices. Children are welcome and they have a great program that keeps them happy and busy. They also focus on sustainability and are one of the highest ranking cruise lines in that aspect.

Sail the world with Princess Cruises. These ships offer intimate and comfortable elegance. They are known for choice and have 3 scheduled dining times, anytime and alternative. They offer a variety of youth and teen programs. The Royal Princess is a brand new ship that has come out this June and will be available in late October 2013, christened by Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. There are some great sales available and also support the military and are entitled to on board credits starting at $50 per person. They try to over the whole “nickel and diming” other cruises do. Overall, the cruise line gave the impression of very simple elegance. There are tons of fine dining, relaxing spas and has tons to offer.
