Cruise Planners Training - Day 2
So today was mostly about the whole franchise and how everything works, but there were two vendors that spoke. Celebrity was the first to speak and it was all about modern luxury. “Out” are the tacky dark cruise ships and “in” are the more up to date modern clean look. The restaurants looked amazing and there can be up to thirty to choose from. One you even order everything via IPad, so how is that for technology? They even have a special hideaway area where you can just be quiet, enjoy a cup of coffee and read. Or try out one of their beautiful spas.
The second vendor was from Norwegian Cruise Lines. I found this presentation very impressive because of their freestyle attitude towards cruising. They have tons of dining options. For example on the “breakaway” they have 28 restaurants to choose from and with ½ of them free of charge. Families are very welcome and have a large variety of activities. Most innovative is their solo cabins. No more double fares for just one person in a room. I wish all cruise lines would follow this trend. They also have a place called “The Haven”, which is for people who like that small ship feel, but the large ship amenities. It is like a mini ship inside a ship. Accommodations are very high end and most suites even include a butler. Very nice overall.
